What is a sit-and-lie hyperbaric chamber?
A sit-and-lie hyperbaric chamber is a convertible soft-shell chamber that supports more than one body position. Inside the cabin, you can sit upright, recline, or lie down.

How is a sit-and-lie chamber different from a sitting chamber?
A sitting chamber is designed for an upright posture only. A sit-and-lie chamber has a longer cabin (2000 × 650 × 1200 mm), so you can also recline or lie flat.

Can I change position inside the chamber?
Yes. You can sit upright, half-sit, or lie down, and change position during a session.

Is the chamber for one person?
Yes. The HC050 is a single-user chamber. Do not enter with another person or a child.

What pressure do HEAOCEAN sit-and-lie chambers use?
HEAOCEAN's mild hyperbaric chambers operate at a standard pressure of 1.3 ATA. 1.5 ATA is available as a custom option.

How long is a typical session?
The recommended session is 60 to 90 minutes. Always wait until the gauge reads 1 ATA before you open the zipper.

Can I use the chamber at home?
Yes. The portable soft-shell design is made for home use. Remove the internal metal frame to fold the chamber down for storage and transport.

Can children or infants use the chamber?
We do not recommend the chamber for infants or toddlers. Children should use it with caution, especially if they feel anxious in small or enclosed spaces. Ask a qualified physician before use, and an adult should always supervise.

Can I use the chamber if I feel anxious in small spaces?
Use caution. The chamber is an enclosed space, so people who are uneasy in enclosed spaces, including those with claustrophobia, should consult a physician first. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, stop the session by following the depressurization steps in the manual.

Is a sit-and-lie hyperbaric chamber a medical device?
No. HEAOCEAN chambers are wellness and recovery products for general relaxation and personal wellness use. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, so consult a physician first if you have a health condition.
