Mild Hyperbaric Chamber for Home Use: A Private Recovery Space in Your Own Home

A mild hyperbaric chamber for home use is a portable, soft-shell chamber for rest and relaxation in a spare room or bedroom. A portable soft-shell hyperbaric chamber that sets up in a spare room, folds down when you are done, and needs no specialist to run. Factory-direct from the manufacturer that builds it — not a reseller marking it up.

A Small, Quiet Space That Is Just Yours

A hyperbaric chamber is a sealed, soft-sided enclosure that holds a slightly higher-than-normal air pressure — typically around 1.3 ATA. You lie or sit inside for about 45 to 60 minutes. The experience is closer to a quiet rest than a medical procedure: the room stays comfortable, the pressure change is gentle, and you can read, listen to music, or simply switch off.

Fits a normal home

Soft-shell chambers are lightweight and foldable. A spare bedroom, home gym, or quiet corner is usually enough space.

No specialist required

One person can inflate it, run a session, and pack it down. No clinical training, no attendant.

Part of a routine

Designed to be used regularly — the same way you would use a sauna, a massage chair, or a home gym.

If you are still deciding whether a pressurized chamber is the right thing to own at all, start with what a mild hyperbaric chamber actually is — pressure, components, and what a session involves. The rest of this page assumes the category fits and you are choosing a format.

Choose a Mild Hyperbaric Chamber for Home: Sitting, Sit-and-Lie, or Lying

The main decision at home is posture and available space. Every format below is a single-person mild hyperbaric chamber for home use; what changes is how you sit or lie inside it, and how much floor the planning zone takes.

Model Posture Chamber size Best for Space needed
Sitting Hyperbaric Chamber HS050 Seated 1600 × 650 × 1200 mm
63.0 × 25.6 × 47.2 in
Small homes, apartments, occasional use Smallest
Sitting & Lying Hyperbaric Chamber HC050 Seated or lying 2000 × 650 × 1200 mm
78.7 × 25.6 × 47.2 in
Households where users prefer different postures Medium
Lying Hyperbaric Chamber HL050 (M) Full-length lying Ø 750 × L 2000 mm
Ø 29.5 × L 78.7 in
The most comfortable, relaxed home experience Largest of the standard sizes
Lying Hyperbaric Chamber HL050 (L) Full-length lying Ø 800 × L 2250 mm
Ø 31.5 × L 88.6 in
Users who want extra width and length Largest

Standard models run at about 1.3 ATA. A 1.5 ATA working pressure is available only as a built-to-order custom configuration and is confirmed in writing before production.

Sitting, sit-and-lie, and lying home chambers compared

All four formats are built on the same platform, so the mild hyperbaric chamber for home use listings differ mainly by posture and cover color; the trade-offs between them are compared in prose in sitting vs lying vs sit-and-lie. If you are weighing a soft shell against a rigid cabin, read the soft shell vs hard shell comparison before you shortlist — structure drives most of the cost and shipping difference.

Setting Up a Portable Hyperbaric Chamber at Home

Soft-shell chambers are the easiest type to install. Plan for four simple things before your chamber arrives.

01

Floor space

A clear area for the chamber, a walkway around it, and the two equipment units beside it.

02

Wall power outlet

A standard socket behind the equipment, with the cable routed neatly and clear of the walkway.

03

Comfortable room

Any normal living space works — no special ventilation or construction required.

04

A regular habit

Set a consistent time — many owners use morning or evening sessions as part of a wind-down routine.

The full sequence — access route, internal frame, cover, connections, and the post-install pressure check — is written out step by step in how to install a lying oxygen chamber, which takes 40 to 60 minutes and applies to the lying and sit-and-lie formats.

Room Planning for a Home Hyperbaric Chamber

The planning zone adds a 350 mm (13.8 in) walkway along the open side and at the foot end, a 420 mm (16.5 in) bay for the oxygen concentrator and air dryer (stacked, 420 × 250 mm / 16.5 × 9.8 in each), and a 100 mm (3.9 in) heat-dissipation gap at the wall end. Keep a wall power outlet behind the equipment, not a door.

Keeping It Simple to Own

A home chamber should be low-effort, not another appliance that needs attention. Our design decisions focus on exactly that.

Modular oxygen system

The concentrator, compressor, and cooling unit are integrated but independently replaceable — maintenance means swapping one component, not the whole system.

Simple connections

Simplified internal wiring means fewer failure points and straightforward setup. Most operations can be completed by one person.

Easy to store

Soft-shell chambers deflate and fold for storage, so the room returns to normal when the session ends.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a mild hyperbaric chamber for home use?

It is a single-person, soft-shell enclosure that holds a slightly higher pressure than normal room air — about 1.3 ATA — and is used for 45 to 60 minutes at a time for rest and relaxation. It runs from a standard wall outlet, needs no specialist to operate, and deflates for storage between sessions. It is a wellness product, not a medical device.

Do I need to assemble anything?

The set arrives in four to seven cartons: the chamber cover, the internal frame, the oxygen concentrator, the refrigerated air dryer, and — depending on the model — a base plate and a chair. The frame slots together, the cover fits over it, and the equipment connects with quick couplings. First setup typically takes 40 to 60 minutes, and no technician visit is required.

Do I need a prescription or a doctor to buy one?

No. Our home chambers are supplied as wellness and recovery products, not medical devices. Requirements vary by country, so please check the rules in your market before ordering.

How much space do I need?

Plan the chamber footprint plus a 350 mm walkway on the open side, add the oxygen concentrator (420 mm) and air dryer beside it, and leave a 100 mm heat-dissipation gap at the wall end. The room planning section above gives the full zone for each model. Tell us your room dimensions and we will confirm the fit.

Does ISO 13485 mean the chamber is a medical device?

No. The certificate covers our factory quality management system. The chambers are supplied as wellness products, not medical devices.

Is 1.5 ATA available?

Standard models run at about 1.3 ATA. 1.5 ATA is a built-to-order custom configuration, confirmed in writing before production.

How noisy is it during a session?

The oxygen and air units produce a steady, low background sound rather than anything sharp. Most users read, listen to music, or rest.

Can I buy directly from the manufacturer?

Yes. HEAOCEAN is the factory, and we supply directly, so there is no reseller markup.

How much does a home hyperbaric chamber cost?

Price depends on the model, structure, and customization. Send your room dimensions, preferred posture, and destination market and we will quote the configuration that fits — the written quotation itemizes the chamber, the oxygen and air equipment, accessories, and freight terms.

Can I use a mild hyperbaric chamber in a bedroom or apartment?

Yes, as long as the room fits the planning zone for your model, from 2470 × 1000 mm for the Sitting HS050 to 3120 × 1150 mm for the Lying HL050 (L). The chamber is soft-shell and single-person, so it does not need a dedicated clinical room. Measure your doorways and access route before ordering.

What is the difference between a mild and a hard-shell chamber for home?

A mild hyperbaric chamber uses a soft shell and a standard pressure of 1.3 ATA, with single-person operation. Hard-shell chambers use a rigid body, and the structure is the main driver of the cost difference. See our soft shell vs hard shell guide for the full comparison.
